NOON began stewarding artist and cultural archives in 2016. NOON’s collections focus on San Luis Valley artists and history, folk art, vernacular museums, textile art, and recorded music.

NOON preserves artists' legacies and San Luis Valley cultural traditions, providing access to the public and arts professionals through exhibitions, loans, internet archives, and in-person research. NOON stewards a significant collection of artworks, artifacts, artist built environments, papers, records, and books. Archives include the artist Ramblin' Roy Smith and The Smile Face Museum. Ramblin' Roy is an artist environment builder living in Saguache. The Smile Face Museum was founded in 1992 in Silver Spring, Maryland, and is in storage in NOON's archives in Saguache. NOON currently holds the archives of seven artists and two organizations.
